Artificial Turf Sports Field Installation

Durafield installs artificial turf sports fields for schools, parks and recreation departments, private clubs, training facilities and government sites across Florida. A synthetic field plays the same in any weather, eliminates mowing, watering and paint-and-patch repairs, and can host games, practices and events all year.

Why Choose a Synthetic Sports Field

  • Play in any weather. No mud, no rain-outs to protect the grass, and no torn-up goal mouths.
  • A consistent, level surface that does not wear down to hard dirt or slippery patches.
  • Lower operating costs. No mowing contract, fertilizer, pesticides or high water bills. Conserve public funds year after year.
  • More use and more revenue. Host more games, camps, tournaments and off-season events without ruining the field.
  • Safe and clean. Non-toxic and lead-free, with no crumb rubber in any of our infill options, and no fleas, ticks or chinch bugs.

Sports Turf Products

We install American-made Durafield® sports and recreation turf, including Durafield Ultra TMH-60 field turf and AT-755 turf with field foam backing. Today’s synthetic grass is engineered for performance indoors and outdoors, reacts naturally during play, and can be easier on athletes’ joints than worn natural grass. We will recommend the right turf, padding and infill for your sport, budget and level of play.

How a Sports Field Project Works

  1. Field evaluation. We measure, check grades and drainage, and review how the field will be used.
  2. Written proposal. Pricing, product options and specification sheets for your board or procurement team.
  3. Base and drainage. Old turf or sod removed, base graded and compacted for fast drainage after heavy rain.
  4. Turf installation. Turf rolled out, seamed, secured and infilled by our own crew.
  5. Ongoing care. Grooming and maintenance plans keep the field safe and playable (see plans).

Sports Field Turf FAQ

Can a synthetic field be used right after rain?

Yes. Our fields are installed over a permeable, compacted base and the turf is perforated, so water drains through quickly and play can resume.

Does synthetic turf get hot?

All turf warms up in direct sun. We can recommend cooler turf and infill options, and watering the field before play lowers the surface temperature.

Can the field host other events?

Yes. A synthetic field can be used for camps, tournaments and community events without the damage foot traffic causes on natural grass.

Do you work with schools and government agencies?

Yes. We provide written proposals and specification sheets, and we are SAM-registered for federal work.
